CBSE board results expected to be declared by August: MHRD

The Central Board of Secondary Education – CBSE is expected to declare the CBSE class 10 and 12 board results 2020 by August 15. The Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had earlier said that the CBSE results 2020 of both classes 10 and 12 will be declared at an interval of just a few days.

Meanwhile, CBSE will conduct the pending board exams 2020 from July 1 to July 15 which was postponed due to the nationwide lockdown imposed s a result of Covid-19. As per IANS, the HRD minister during a discussion said “We hope that the results of both 10th and 12th class will be declared by August 15. These include the results of previous exams and the results of examinations in July.”

Apart from official website of the CBSE – cbse.nic.in, the results will be released on DigiLocker and UMANG App and will be available on Google and Microsoft.

To ensure minimum travel for candidates, the board has decided to hold the pending CBSE board exams 2020 in the students’ schools. A CBSE board official said, “Students will appear for the exams in their own schools and not external test centres to ensure minimum travel for them.”

Besides, parents filed a petition at Supreme Court to cancel CBSE exams in July for student safety. Advocate Rishi Malhotra reportedly said that many colleges and state boards had already taken the decision to cancel exams due to safety issues and CBSE should also think about doing the same.
