CBSE declares Class 12 results for 2021

July 30, 2021

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 has released its results on its official website on Friday, July 30. Students who wish to check their results can do so by visiting the website cbseresults.nic.in and download their marksheets.

This year, the CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 were cancelled due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the Class 12 students have been calculated according to the assessment criteria set by the board.

This year, 99.37 per cent of over 14.30 lakh students have cleared the exam. Continuing with the trend, girls have outshone boys but the margin has been reduced to 0.54 per cent from 5.96 per cent last year. The number of candidates scoring above 95 per cent has also increased from 38,686 last year to 70,004 this year. No merit list has been announced this year.

According to the Board, no merit list will be released. Apart from the merit list, the topper will also not be announced this year. This decision was taken due to the unprecedented circumstances caused by the pandemic.

If students are not able to check their CBSE Class 12 results 2021 through the official website of the board, they can also get access to their results through the IVRS facility, SMS facility, DigiLocker app and the UMANG app on their phones.

Since the CBSE Class 12 result 2021 has been declared today, it is expected that the Central Board of Secondary Education will declare the results of the Class 10 students soon, though the exact date and time for the same have not been notified yet.

The official announcement of the date and time will be uploaded on the official website or social media handle of CBSE.

This year, the CBSE Class 10 board exams were also cancelled due to the pandemic situation across the country. The marks of Class 10 students are being calculated according to the 80:20 evaluation criteria set by the board.

According to this marking scheme, 80 per cent of the weightage will be given to Class 10 unit tests and pre-board marks while 20 per cent weightage will be given to practical and project work.
