CBSE denies partnership with private publisher for Class 10 & 12 sample papers

September 14, 2023

CBSE has officially stated that there is no collaboration with Educart for the development of a new Sample Paper Pattern for the upcoming 2024 Board examinations. This statement comes in response to recent reports in a prominent media outlet, which inaccurately claimed that CBSE had joined forces with the private publisher Educart to release updated sample papers for both Class 10 and 12 students.

These reports garnered significant attention on social media, sparking enthusiasm and interest among students and educators. Moreover, the articles contained links to PDF files that appeared to suggest Educart’s involvement in creating these new sample papers.

However, CBSE’s official position unequivocally denies any such partnership with Educart. The additional practice papers have been designed to benefit Class X and XII students, primarily aimed at assisting them in addressing application-based questions and strengthening their comprehension of conceptual topics. There is no external collaboration in this initiative.

In a notable update, starting this year, CBSE will conduct the Class 10 and 12 board examinations twice annually. This significant change provides students with the opportunity to achieve their best scores and aims to reduce the intense pressure often associated with single annual exams. This transition aligns with the Ministry of Education’s new curriculum framework.
