The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the schedule for the 2021 board exams for classes 10 and 12 board exams on February 2, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said on Thursday. The students will find the timetable on the official website: cbse.gov.in
CBSE is also planning to digitalise 45-year records of its students. The new system, which will come into effect from March 1. It has been restructured as per various recommendations for systemic reforms laid down in the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Pokhriyal had earlier announced that the CBSE board examinations will be conducted for classes 10 and 12 from May 4 to June 10, 2021. The practical exams will be held by May 1, 2021. The results are expected to release by July 15, 2021.
30 percent of the syllabus has been reduced and the exams will be held offline, that is, in written mode.
The guidelines read, “The schools will be allowed to conduct the practical/project/internal assessment of class X and class XII from 1 March 2021 to the last date of conduct of theory examination of the same class.”
Several schools have already conducted pre-board exams online to keep the students prepared.
The Union Minister had also said that on the basis of the consultations, the guidelines will be prepared which will further be decided by the Ministry of Home Affairs along with the Ministry of Health. “Ensuring safety of students is our first priority,” he said.
