Codingal concludes HPE CodeWars 2025, India’s largest coding competition

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), in collaboration with Codingal, concluded the fifth edition of HPE CodeWars, India’s biggest coding competition for students in grades 8–12. This year’s event witnessed unprecedented participation, solidifying its status as the largest school-level coding competition in the country.

Over a high-intensity 3-hour coding challenge, more than 23,000 code submissions were evaluated in real-time, with peak concurrent evaluations surpassing 700. The competition attracted students from across India, with significant participation from cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai. And additionally, international students from over 100 countries, including the UK, Kenya, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Singapore, and the UAE, also joined the challenge, highlighting the event’s expanding global reach.

The competition highlighted outstanding young coders for their exceptional skills and problem-solving abilities:

Champion: Purbayon Sarkar (Grade 12), South Point High School, Kolkata – Awarded an HP Victus Gaming Laptop

First Runner-Up: Jayden Jeswin Raj (Grade 12), Vels Vidyashram, Chennai – Received an HP Chromebook

Second Runner-Up: Samik Goyal (Grade 10), DAV Public School, Patiala – Honored with an HP Series 5 FHD Monitor

The top 10 performers were also rewarded with high-quality performance mechanical gaming keyboards and mouse, recognising their dedication and prowess.
