CUET-UG 2022: Exams postponed, NTA to issue new admit cards

August 8, 2022

The National Testing Agency has postponed the CUET UG 2022 exam which was scheduled for August 6 at 53 centres. The examination will now be held between August 24 and 28, 2022.

Previously, NTA had announced that the postponed exam will be held between August 12 to 14, and the same admit card shall be valid. But UGC Chief  M Jagadesh Kumar said a total of 15811 candidates requested a date different from August 12 to 14, as some students claimed that there were a lot of festivals during these days. Additionally, “many candidates had requested for date/city change of CUET (UG) – 2022 examination after 10 August 2022 onwards as the cities allotted to them in Phase II (04 to 06 August 2022) were not suitable to them,” Kumar tweeted.

“Considering the above requests, it has been decided that in place of 12 to 14 August 2022, the CUET (UG) – 2022 examination for all these candidates will now be conducted between 24 to 28 August 2022, and fresh Admit Card will be issued well before the date of Examination, read the notice released by NTA.

The Phase III of the examination on 17, 18, and 20 August 2022 will be conducted as per schedule informed earlier to the candidates.

NTA, while postponing the August 6 exam, had previously said that the students were informed through SMS and email on their registered mobile and e-mail id respectively. “In case, the above date is not suitable, the candidates can send email to [email protected] mentioning their desired date and roll number,” it added.

The list of centres have been mentioned by the agency.

CUET UG 2022 exam has been postponed at 50 centres across the country on day 2, August 5. “Examination scheduled for first shift on 5th August 2022 has been postponed at 20 examination centres. Examination scheduled for second shift on 5th August 2022 is postponed at 30 centres,” read the NTA statement.

“NTA took immediate note of reports of technical issues in some centres. Reports were asked from the observers /city coordinators on ground. Based on their recommendations, decision of postponement has been taken. NTA is committed to ensure smooth conduct of examinations in the best interests of the students,” NTA added.

The candidates are advised to be in touch with the NTA websites- nta.ac.in and cuet.samarth.ac.in for latest updates regarding examination.

NTA has also created an exclusive grievance redressal e-mail. The grievances of candidates regarding subject combination, medium, question paper, etc. (if any) can be sent to [email protected]. Candidates must mention their Application Number while sending their grievance. The grievances will be addressed and examination for such candidates, if required, will also be conducted after 20 August 2022.
