The Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ recently stated via a tweet that the date of CBSE board exams 2021 will be announced on December 31, 2020.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10 and 12 board exams will be conducted post-February 2021 in an offline mode, Pokhriyal had said during a live webinar conducted on December 22. He added that the exact dates will be announced later after assessing the pandemic situation.
He had tweeted, “I received a lot of requests from various #students & #teachers to postpone @cbseindia29 board #exams for Class 10 & 12. Keeping the #COVID19 pandemic in mind & after various consultations, we have decided that #board exams will not be held in February.”
Speaking to ANI, Union Education Minister said “After keeping their suggestions in mind and the circumstances in the future, on the eve of the new year tomorrow, we will announce dates of CBSE board exam and their confusion will be over.”
“Our communication with other ministries is going on continuously. Covid-19 has spread all over the world. During these difficulties, we have done a lot of work online, but our goal is to reach the last students. The idea is to conduct examinations in the same manner as examinations are conducted earlier, we are not considering to conduct exams online,” he added.
The Education Minister also said that the examination will be held as per guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs and Health Ministry.
He added that many schools are in rural areas, board exams would be held offline.
During a live webinar with students on December 10, 2020, he said that CBSE practical exam will be held at the school level. In case, schools are not able to conduct practicals due to the pandemic, alternative solutions will be made. If similar conditions continue, an extension of board exam dates will be considered.
