Financial Times recently released the Masters in Management rankings 2019 and IIM Calcutta leads the way among the B-schools in India. The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has secured 17th rank globally for its 2-Year Masters in Business Administration (earlier Post Graduate Programme in Management). It was placed at number 23 last year.
Meanwhile, IIM Ahmedabad has been at 21, which is the second position in the country. In 2018, IIM-A was leading the tally by securing 19th rank. IIM Bangalore has been placed at 44th position, IIM Udaipur at 76 and IIM Indore at 81.
The institutes have been ranked based on their performance on multiple parameters like employment, salary, faculty, career progress, inclusion of international board members, percentage of female faculty and student gender diversity ratio. Some of the other parameters taken into consideration includes value for money, aims achieved by alumni, employability among students within three months of completing the course, international student in-take, international mobility ranking, faculty with doctorates, languages, company internships, and number of students enrolled in the last year.
