NEET PG 2023: Health Ministry extends internship deadline again to August 11

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has extended the last date of completion of the internship for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) aspirants to August 11 from June 30. Earlier, it was March 31.

“Accordingly, desirous candidates who are completing their internship during 01.07.2023 to 11.08.2023 and are fulfilling all other criteria as prescribed in the Information Bulletin of NEET-PG 2023 can apply for NEET-PG 2023 from 09.02.2023 (3PM onwards) to 12.02.2023 (till 11:55 PM). The applications can be submitted at NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in“, reads the notice.

The candidates will be able to choose the preferred state and city for taking the examination amongst those cities which are available at the time of closure of previous registration window on 27.01.2023, on a first come first serve basis. The edit window for these candidates who shall be successfully submitting their examination fee & application form for NEET-PG during February 9, 2023 to February 12, 2023
shall be opened on February 15, 2023.

The Final/Selective Edit Window for all applicants of NEET-PG 2023 who are found not to have submitted the required images in their applications as per the prescribed guidelines shall be opened from February 18 to 20, 2023. A list of these candidates shall be published on NBEMS website prior to the opening of final edit window.

As per the official notice issued by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the NEET PG 2023 will be conducted on March 5 and the admit card will be released on February 27. The NEET PG 2023 results will be released around March 31, and the counselling process will start in July 2023.

Meanwhile, the NEET PG aspirants under the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) on Tuesday staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi demanding postponement of NEET-PG. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is likely to hold a meeting with protesting doctors demanding NEET PG 2023 be postponed. 
 
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) in a letter to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya has also asked the minister to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) by two to three months.
