Online Parenting Summit, parent success story: Jaya Singh

OPS-Jaya Singh

Online parenting Summit (OPS) 2021 elaborates on various methods of parenting, a celebration of parenthood. The summit helps to reboot parenting and develop a friendly relationship between parents and their children. The concept of OPS is to create an impact on parents and their parenting styles. OPS aims to touch the universe and beyond, impact every generation that may come further. Until now, people practiced parenting in their own traditional ways but OPS tries to bring in modern ways in which one can make parenting experience much more fun yet unique.

Here is the story of Jaya Singh, mother of Sharika Singh, who talks about her journey as a parent.

My name is Jaya Singh and I am a mother to an adorable 14-year-old daughter Sharika. My husband and I live in Jaipur with my daughter. I am into theatre and conduct storytelling classes. Being a mother is a privilege as it helps you grow throughout which feels great and unique. Daughters are always said to be blessings, since they bring in happiness, liveliness and charm.

Although I regret for not being a part of the 2020 summit, but I am enthusiastic to be a part of the online parenting Summit 2021 and explore parenting more. My daughter is in her teenage phase and we all know how teenagers grow. You need to guide them at every moment, at every single step, and help them make decisions for themselves.

The pandemic has changed our lives. It was an extremely difficult phase for me and my daughter. I realized that I must ensure that my daughter’s smile remained on her face. With all the negativity growing outside, it was very essential to have a happy place within our minds. This is the time when parents need to support their kids, help them build their own world of fantasy and imagination.

I always wanted to have a happy childhood for my daughter. She has always made me proud. Once my autistic daughter while learning through her online classes, made cold coffee for everyone and brought it in a tray. It was overwhelming to notice her sense of responsibility. How can I forget, the proudest moment of my motherhood was when I read her short story essays. Children with autism are blessings, they are beautiful and innocent.

My relationship with my daughter has evolved constantly. And we both are growing and working together. I am trying to teach her to help me design the flyers for my online classes to spend some quality time with her. She is very much interested in Art and Music and is also very good with gadgets.

I would suggest everybody be a part of the Online Parenting Summit, 2021 and know more about various hidden aspects of parenting. The summit would help me manage my role as a mother and as a working woman. Parenting is bliss and this summit has provided parents with such a platform that can digitally help you learn and experience parenting.
