In the recently declared results of the class 12 Punjab School Education Board examinations, boys clinched the top three positions, marking a significant achievement. Ekampreet Singh from BCM Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, emerged as the topper with a perfect score, followed by Ravi Uday from Government Senior Secondary School, Muktsar, securing the second position, and Ashwini from Senior Secondary School, Bathinda, claiming the third spot.
Out of a total of 2,84,452 students who appeared for the examinations, an impressive 2,64,662 students passed, leading to a commendable pass percentage of 93.04%. It’s worth noting that girls outperformed boys, boasting a higher pass percentage of 95.74% compared to boys’ 90.74%.
Furthermore, the pass percentage in urban areas stood at 93.46%, indicating a slightly higher performance than the 92.73% recorded in rural areas.
