During the ‘Education Pre-Summit 2024’ in Rajasthan, over 500 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹28,000 crore were signed to revolutionize the state’s education sector. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the importance of education as the foundation for development, stating that even small investments in this sector lead to significant impacts. These MoUs aim to drive advancements in education, skill development, and sports, providing new opportunities for the state’s growth.

Notably, Hindustan Zinc Limited also signed a landmark MoU with the Department of Education, pledging an investment of ₹36 crore over the next five years. This initiative will focus on improving 72 government schools under the company’s Shiksha Sambal program, which is committed to enhancing the quality of education. The program will focus on infrastructure upgrades, vocational training, and teacher development, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

The Shiksha Sambal program, running since 2008, will foster holistic student development and improve the learning outcomes of rural students, further contributing to inclusive education. It also emphasizes career counseling and providing state-of-the-art facilities to schools, ensuring a better future for students.

This collaborative effort is part of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative, aimed at boosting economic and social development through strategic investments. With such initiatives, the Rajasthan government is focusing on providing employment to over 6 lakh youth and fostering growth across various sectors, including mining, health, and energy.

The upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ in Jaipur will provide further opportunities to discuss and implement such impactful collaborations.
