Record 2.79 crore registrations for 8th edition of PM’s Pariksha Pe Charcha

January 9, 2025

A record-breaking 2.79 crore registrations have already been received for the eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha, according to officials from the Ministry of Education. This milestone highlights the program’s growing popularity, with participation from students, teachers, and parents across India and abroad.

Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) is an annual event where the Prime Minister interacts with students preparing for board exams, offering guidance on managing exam stress, staying motivated, and addressing various academic challenges. This initiative aims to reduce exam-related anxiety and foster a positive approach to education. The registrations for this edition opened last month and will remain open until January 14.

A senior Ministry of Education official said, “The 8th edition of PPC has achieved an unprecedented milestone, with over 2.79 crore registrations. This reflects the growing importance of managing exam stress and promoting mental well-being among students, teachers, and parents alike.”

In the lead-up to the main event, a series of activities will be organized from January 12 (National Youth Day) to January 23 (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti). These activities include indigenous games, marathon runs, meme competitions, nukkad-nataks (street plays), yoga and meditation sessions, singing performances by CBSE, KVS, and NVS schools, poster-making contests, and workshops on mental health. Special guests and screenings of inspirational films will also be part of the celebration.

The first PPC event was held in 2018, and its seventh edition took place at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. The program continues to be a key platform for fostering a dialogue around education, well-being, and personal development, making it a highly anticipated event each year.
