Sat Paul Mittal School organises it’s first ever virtual TEDx Youth

Sat Paul Mittal School organised the first ever virtual TEDx Youth event in Ludhiana where live speakers sparked deep discussions and formed great connection with the audience from around the globe. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School inaugurated the session and welcomed over 900 participants to this mega event.

Following an invocation ceremony, the event was followed by an introduction to TEDx Youth and the motto “Celebrating Life, Celebrating Ideas”. Thirteen influencers from various fields came together to share their ideas. The talks were accompanied with breakout sessions filled with activities that kept the audience engaged.

The first speaker, Mark Sparvell, Education Leader, Microsoft Education shared his ideas about what matters the most as we navigate through disruption towards a new education paradigm. The lively session examined the role technology can play in humanizing learning and not simply digitizing the curriculum content. Pekka Ouli, an artificial intelligence and virtual reality expert from Finland, talked about using virtual reality to teach the differently abled. The session also featured Riddhima Karwa, who emphasized on reflecting back and finding sustainable and plastic free ways of living from historical times. Milind Kwatra, founder of the fastest growing delivery services, HUMHAIN talked about finding his passion. Gursimran Khamba, a well- known stand-up comedian and writer, helped the audience identify what matters in pursuit of career. The badminton champion, Pranaav Jerry Chopra, enlightened the audience about the road beyond failure.

Among other speakers were Aayaan Aggarwal, Namya Joshi and Sara Chawla from Sat Paul Mittal School. The event also hosted chosen representatives Aniket Gupta, Apurva Singh, Syed Dareen Hannash and Loknath Mahanthi from various parts of the country.

Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School proposed a vote of thanks for successful completion of the event. The speakers motivated the youth of today by being a living example, by sharing their expertise and knowledge. The audience was highly elated and enthused by the youth led session.
