Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is one of the premier business schools in the country. Since its inauguration in 1981 by the then British prime minister Late Margaret Thatcher, it has been consistently recognized as one of the top 10 business schools in India. The institute was named after Sahu Shreyans Prasad Jain of the Sahu Jain family, who financed the institution in its early years. The institute disaffiliated itself from Bombay University to avail more freedom in curriculum decision-making and pedagogy design. In the last decade, the institute established two international campuses in Dubai and Singapore. During this period, it also established ties with professional associations such as the Project Management Institute and corporations such as GE to offer specialized courses.
