The Directorate of Government Exams (DGE) announced the Higher Secondary or Tamil Nadu class 12th result on Thursday, July 16, 2020 which saw about 7.99 lakh students appearing in the exam. Students can check the results through the websites- dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in.
The pass percentage among government schools stood at 85.94 percent and among the private schools, it was 98.7 percent. The overall pass percentage is 92.34 percent. A total of 94.8 percent girls cleared the exam, while the pass percentage of boys stands at 89.41 percent. Mathematics scored the highest pass percentage among subjects at 96.3 percent.
Among the districts, Tiruppur topped the list with a record pass percentage of 97.12 percent; for Erode, the pass percentage stands at 96.99 percent and Coimbatore at 96.39 percent.

Log in to the offcial websites: dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in
Click on the ‘download’ result link.
Enter the registration number.
The result will appear on the screen.
Download and take a print out for further reference.
The passing criteria for the exams is that candidates need to secure 35 marks each in all the six subjects out of 100. For subjects having 70 marks in theory, candidates need to secure 15 marks in theory and a total of 35 marks. There is no minimum marks requirement in the practical or internal section.
