January 17, 2022

The Tamil Nadu government on Sunday declared a holiday till January 31 for school students of classes 10-12 too in the wake of increasing Covid cases.

While the government had declared a holiday for students from classes 1 to 9, however, classes 10 to 12 were running considering their board examinations and the preparations.

Examinations scheduled from January 19 for students of classes 10 and 12 have been postponed, Tamil Nadu state government informed.

“Fresh dates for the examinations would be announced later for classes 10 and 12, ” according to a news agency.

Meanwhile, there are currently 1,31,007 active Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu. While the total deaths from the Covid-19 disease stood at 36,967, the cumulative recoveries in the state reached 27,47,974.
