Tripura: CM thanks PM, Education Minister for MBB University grant

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha conveyed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for endorsing a significant grant of Rs 20 crore aimed at fortifying infrastructure development at the state-run MBB University. The Union Ministry of Education recently granted funds for 78 universities across the country, including MBB University, as part of the Prime Minister Uchahatar Siksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) initiative, dedicated to enhancing the educational infrastructure.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Saha extended his thanks, stating, “My sincere thanks to PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji & Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Ji for this grant.” MBB University, inaugurated in the academic session of 2016-17, currently offers five postgraduate and two integrated master’s degree programs.

Moreover, the Chief Minister applauded Prime Minister Modi and Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri for sanctioning a substantial amount of Rs 419 crore for urban development in Tripura. Taking to social media, Saha disclosed that the Government of India had earmarked Rs 419 crore under the Special Assistance to Capital Incentives (Urban Planning Reforms) for the fiscal year 2023-24. He expressed his gratitude for the initial disbursement of Rs 83.80 crore and thanked both PM Narendra Modi and UM Hardeep Singh Puri for their continued and unwavering support towards the comprehensive development of Tripura.
