The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines for universities about the conduct of examinations during the outbreak of coronavirus. The universities have been advised to ensure safety and interests of all stakeholders while they plan their academic activities, giving health the utmost priority. They have also been requested to have a cell to handle queries and grievances of students related to examinations and other academic activities during the pandemic.
The UGC has also undertaken steps to monitor queries, grievances and other issues related to academics arising due to coronavirus. It has released a dedicated helpline for students, teachers and institutions. They can be reached at the helpline number 011-23236374 or via e-mail at [email protected].
Students can also get their grievances addressed on the existing online students’ grievance redressal portal of UGC. According to the UGC, a task force has been constituted to monitor the concerns and grievances of all stakeholders and redress them accordingly.
