Delhi Public School, Harni: Celebrations and sports achievements

DPS HarniNAVRATRI: Navratri, the much loved festival of Gujarat was celebrated in all its piety, pomp and grandeur at Delhi Public School, Harni. The children came well dressed in traditional attires and danced to the soulful tune of Raas Garba.

CHILDREN’S DAY: Children’s Day is always a special occasion for any school. DPS Harni saw its campus come to life with hues of cherubic radiation and happiness. A special programme was organised for the children to subtly remind them of the values endorsed by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The school bore a festive and cheerful look on the occasion. 

TEACHERS’ DAY: Teachers truly are the backbone of society. They are role models to children, offer guidance and give young people the power of education. It is because of teachers that nations are able to witness social and economic development. They give children purpose, set them up for success as global citizens, and inspire them to do well and succeed in life. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. 

The students of DPS Harni expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their teachers through a musical programme on Teacher’s Day. 

INVESTITURE CEREMONY: Leaders are not born, they are made. Delhi Public School Harni conducted the Investiture Ceremony on September 5, 2022. 

SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS: VIBGYOR School organised “Vibgyor VIVA Inter School Swimming Competition” on October 15, 2022. Four students of DPS Harni participated in the competition and two students were declared winners in several categories.

Dishna Bhatt of class VI C (U-12) won 3 gold medals and one silver medal. Devika Mistri of class VII F (U-14) won Bronze in 25m breast stroke and Silver in 50m butterfly. 

NCC CAMP: NCC cadets of class IX won various prizes in the competitions organised at  the NCC Camp at Rajpipla held from September 12 to 19, 2022. A total of 600 cadets from 10 different schools participated in the camp. DPS Harni cadets bagged the following prizes.

Soumya Shah Tug of War Silver Medal (2nd position)

Khush Shah Antakshari Silver Medal (2nd position)
