Rajasthan’s School Education Minister Madan Dilawar has sparked a significant conversation by equating mobile phones to a “disease” and imposing a strict ban on teachers bringing them into schools. Dilawar’s firm stance reflects the education department’s resolute commitment to creating an environment conducive to learning. He emphasized the department’s relentless efforts to enforce this policy and enhance the overall school atmosphere.
Dilawar stressed the importance of maintaining uninterrupted school hours and urged teachers to refrain from leaving school premises for prayer without prior approval, cautioning of disciplinary action otherwise. Additionally, he underscored the necessity for teachers to promptly surrender any inadvertently brought mobile phones to the school principal.
Dilawar also expressed concern over teachers being distracted by non-academic activities, such as monitoring the stock market, deeming such behavior counterproductive. In an effort to ensure uninterrupted learning for students, only school principals will be permitted to utilize mobile phones for emergency situations. This measure aims to uphold academic integrity and minimize disruptions in the learning process.
