An event held in the Konkan region of Maharashtra honored 165 model teachers and 11 educational institutions with awards. During the event, State Minister Ravindra Chavan encouraged teachers to prioritize patriotism over caste when shaping students’ values.
The ceremony, organized by MLC Niranjan Davkhare in memory of his father, the late Vasant Davkhare, former deputy chairman of the state legislative council, aimed to recognize outstanding teachers and educational institutions in Konkan. Notably, 165 teachers and the heads of 11 educational institutions were acknowledged at the event.
Chavan emphasized that teachers play a significant role in shaping visionary leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stressed that teachers hold the responsibility of nurturing the future of the country and urged them to prioritize instilling nationalistic values in their students, setting caste distinctions aside.
