Overview

Founded in 1970, Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh is a coeducational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school aims to provide an opportunity to every student to acquire and develop the knowledge, skills and understanding required to face the challenges of the world they will step into.

Campus

The school campus hosts spacious classrooms, language lab, separate science laboratories, art and craft section and a well-stocked computerised library featuring about 12,000 volumes including 40 sets of encyclopedias.

Other facilities include an auditorium, gymnasium hall, volley ball andbasket ball courts, medical and health services and transportation facility.

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, the school offers classes from pre-primary level through class XII. At pre-primary level, Playway method is used for imparting learning; at senior secondary level, three streams (Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce) are offered.

The school curriculum is based on the national pattern of education and is designed as per CBSE guidelines.

Extra-curricular activities:

Besides academics, students are encouraged to engage in a host of activities such as sports, stage, language and adventures activities.

Admission

Parents can download registration form from the school website – http://www.shivalik.org

For LKG, age criteria is three years plus and admission fee is Rs.10,000. The proposed tuition fee is Rs.1350 per month.

Documents required for admission:

(i) Registration form / admission form / two passport size photographs

(ii) Attested copy of birth certificate or any documents prescribed by the Chandigarh Administrate.

Accommodation

Being a day school, it does not offer accommodation facility.
