Overview

Founded in 1967, Sri Guru Hari Krishnan Senior Secondary Public School, sited at GT Road in Amritsar is an English medium coeducational day school. The school was named after Sri Guru Hari Krishan Ji, the eighth guru of Sikhs and is managed by Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society, a Sikh body devoted to promoting education among Sikhs. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, the school offers classes from pre-nursery to class XII.

The primary objective of the school is to develop students as rational thinkers with socially well adjusted frame of mind and advanced scientific ways of learning. The school aims at providing students with an exciting educational experience and helping them acquire the highest standard of lifeskills.

Campus

The 2.8 acre Sri Guru Hari Krishnan Senior Secondary Public School campus hosts well lit spacious classrooms, two well stocked libraries featuring over 21,000 books and subscriptions to leading educational magazines, journals and newspapers, a toy library and a well furnished conference hall. Admission

The admission period runs from mid December to mid March.

Students seeking admission to various classes are required to get their names registered in January and February for the session commencing in April. The registration fees would be Rs. 200 only. The admission is based on merit and depends on the number of seats available.

Students from other schools would be admitted only if they come from an institution affiliated with the recognised boards. It is mandatory for all students to write an admission test to qualify for admission.
