Overview

Founded in 2003, City International School (CIS) Andheri is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi offering education from pre-primary level through class X. CIS aims to provide high quality education with an emphasis on creating a stimulating learning environment.

Campus

The school campus hosts spacious, air-conditioned classrooms, a well equipped computer center, separate science laboratories of physics, chemistry and biology, music, dance and audio visual room and a well-stocked library with adequate books, magazines and periodicals.

Sports facilities include cricket ground, basket ball court and a football ground.

Academics

Affiliated with CISCE, the school offers education upto class X.

Pre-primary curriculum includes music, art, drama, dance, projects, discovery centers, field trips, outdoor play and adventure and provides a dynamic, progressive and responsive learning environment.

In primary section children learn through audio-visual aid (class edge – smart class), role play and play way method.

The secondary section aims to make maximum use of the available technology for innovative teaching methods, for enhancing the teaching-learning experience.

Extra-curricular activities:

Co-curricular activities include dance, music, skating, chess, carom, badminton, handball, cricket, foot ball, karate, gymnasium and table tennis.

Admission

Admission is based on the availability of seats and as per the age criteria given below:

Age Criteria

Nursery

2 and half years by June 30 of the year of admission

Junior KG

3 and half years by May 31 of the year of admission

Senior KG

4 and half years by May 31 of the year of admission

1st Standard

5 and half years by May 31 of the year of admission

2nd Onwards

Only on the basis of the School Leaving Certificate of the previous school

Parents can obtain the application form and information brochure from the school office.

Following documents are required at the time of admission:

1. Original birth certificate of the students as issued by the statutory authorities for admission to nursery, junior, senior kindergarten & class I.

2. Original school leaving certificate/transfer certificate from the recognised school, for admission to class II and above.

3. Photocopy of the progress/report card of the previous schooling year.

4. Four passport size colour photographs of the child.

5. Heath Information Form from the previous school.
