Sapphire International School, Ranchi is an English medium coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Started in 2005, the school offers CBSE syllabus up to class XII.
The mission of Sapphire International School is to provide quality education that blends the quintessence of Eastern and Western philosophies of education and offer programs that incorporate strong work ethics and drive for excellence along with integration of a wide variety of teaching strategies and learning activities, such as listening, observing, speaking, discussing, reading, writing, analysing and criticising.
Spread over 40 acres, the school campus hosts buildings, fields and ponds that enhance the serenity of the campus. The campus is Wifi enabled and houses an academic block, Smart Classrooms, well equipped laboratories, multimedia studio, well stocked library, infirmary and a canteen.
The campus also hosts facilities for sports such as soccer, cricket, basketball, swimming, table tennis, badminton, squash, lawn tennis, karate, archery, rifle shooting and skating.
Learning needs of students are initially identified through individual teacher assessments, student progress meetings, a learning specialist administrator or parental queries. If a problem is identified, aids like in-class learning support strategies, unique teaching aids and methodologies, after-school supervised classes, Learning Lab with Smart Class facilities etc are provided. The school also has an Academic Monitoring System that maps students progress closely and continuously through class works, assignments, project works and periodic exams, thus allowing teachers to initiate remedial action if required.
At the pre primary level the school follows the method of experiential learning where children have the opportunity to observe, experiment and analyse the world around them. All class activities are directed towards inculcating social and emotional skills in children, honing their motor skills and cultivating good habits in them. Activities such as environmental awareness and scientific experiments are aimed to generate inquisitiveness in children.
Primary education is activity/project based with an aim to develop serious learning attitude in students through various teaching and testing processes. Linguistic and cognitive development in students is crucial and students learn at least three languages (English, Hindi and Spanish) as well as develop good vocabulary, comprehension, writing skills, reading, listening and speaking. Individual attention is given to teach numerical skills and general knowledge. Proper monitoring is done to develop the student’s aesthetic sensibilities and skills, group learning behaviour, multi dimensional thinking, and creative attitude.
In middle school students are prepared for serious cognitive performances through concept based, activity oriented and project based learning system. Concepts are taught using PPTs, internet and various resources available in the school library. Quality trainings aimed at developing students logical and scientific mind set, linguistic and communication skills, critical and creative thinking.
At the secondary level students are empowered to excel academically and become socially conscious. SIS aims to create a student centric centre that takes into account students’ diverse social, emotional and physical needs to conquer global competition and inculcates soft skills through academic curriculum and co-scholastic activities.
The senior secondary students of class IX to XII enjoy the disciplined smart classrooms, library and laboratories, along with online learning and rigorous teaching with extra preparatory evening schedules for the study of the boarders. Senior secondary students of class XI and XII are offered three streams of study i.e. science, commerce and humanities.

SportsParents can download the registration form from the school website. Duly filled forms should be submitted at the school office and at the time of submission, parents are given dates for admission test and interview.
After a registered applicant clears the test and interview and admission is granted, the school expects parents to complete the admission process by payment of fees within 48 hrs.
Foreign nationals intending to study in Sapphire International School must travel to India on a student VISA issued by an Indian Foreign Office located in their country.

The school campus houses separate air-conditioned hostels for boys and girls and all the rooms are equipped with attached washrooms. Each hostel wing has a warden with a maximum capacity of 22 children.
A principal’s dinner is held monthly and children present performances such as songs, dances, poetry, drama, recitals etc, to help children overcome stage fright and build their confidence level.
