Estblished in 1968, SPJ Sadhana School, Mumbai is an ISO 9000-2001 certified institute and a prominent resource centre for training persons with special needs, as well as updating teachers in effective methodologies. The school imparts quality education to 114 challenged students, between the ages of four to 21 years.
SPJ Sadhana School aims to help the students realise and develop their potential, by giving them opportunities to experience, achieve, enjoy life and to have freedom of choice, thus assisting the students in becoming independent.
The school campus provides alearning environment for the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional growth of every child. The campus comprises high quality lecture rooms, state-of-the-art laboratories and well-maintained gardens.

The Visual Arts and Crafts: The course offers training in artistic and craft skills with an accent on stencil painting, air brush painting and designing, tailoring and stitchery skills complemented by varied needle-craft and three-dimensional skills including clay modelling.
The art course includes the development of appropriate colour themes and designs with attention to the final presentation and marketing of the product.
Hospitality and catering: The course includes training to equip the trainee in performing skills in an assembly line of an industrial kitchen and exposes them to different forms of services such as counter service, buffet service and different kinds of cuisines. Health and hygiene is an important subject in the course.
The office procedure: The course offers training in office situation/shops. Skills with an accent on Xeroxing computer data entry, filing, faxing, filing of simple forms, banking, ATM, innovative methods of teaching are used.
General vocation: This course teaches sorting, assembling, sticking, packaging, printing, mailing work and work on light machines to the moderately and severely handicapped young adult.

Internet Wi-FiAdmission into S P J School is open throughout the year. Before admission into a suitable class, each applicant is assessed by a team comprising a social worker, psychologist, occupational and speech therapist.
On their recommendation, the child is admitted into an appropriate vocational programme. The school is divided into pre-nursery, nursery, transition, junior, pre-vocational and vocational sections.
