Little Flower Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Tamil Nadu State Secondary Education Board. Started in 1994 with 200 children from nursery to class V. The school was expanded up to class XII in 2006, and today boasts 1250 students.
The school’s mission is to develop children with active and creative minds, to instill a sense of understanding and compassion for others and the courage to act on their beliefs. Little Flower School believes that education goes beyond excellence in academic studies and places greater importance on sport, activities, art, music, community service and leadership. Little Flower School focuses on the total holistic development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical in order to prepare them to be multitalented citizens of modern India.
The school has been a regular recipient of excellence awards from many institutions for its innovative and dedicated academic policies including an award for Education Excellence from the University of Milano, Italy.
The school campus measures over 59,000 square feet and comprises a built up area of 16,500 square feet. The school building houses the office, administrative department, classrooms, rest rooms, well equipped laboratories for physics, biology, chemistry and computer science, a specially designed auditorium and meditation hall. The school has four dedicated smart classes, a conference hall, well stocked library, sports room and a playground.
For interested students the school arranges the VAE i.e. Value Added Education such as Yoga, Karate, Bharatham etc. Well trained and engaged professionals conduct these classes.
The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Tamil Nadu State Secondary Education. The school’s education policies lay emphasis on activity based projects to suit students of all standards.
