Overview

DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 1983 with an aim to provide quality education to the children of Ludhiana, the school is a part of the DAV College Managing Committee. The school boasts more than 5300 students from nursery through class XII.

The school aims to serve the academic, physical, social and emotional needs of students. The staff of DAV Public School is committed to creating and maintaining an orderly, caring and trusting environment where teaching and learning are exciting and students are assisted as they develop responsibility. Campus

Measuring over 4 acres, the school campus hosts a multi-storied building with 110 class rooms, a well stocked library cum reading room with more than 38,000 books, 52 smart classrooms, fully equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, biotechnology and mathematics, an audio-visual room with LCD projection and an air conditioned auditorium.

The school also houses a children’s park with swings, courts for basketball, handball, volleyball, softball, kho-kho and badminton.

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, the school offers education from pre nursery through class XII. The school houses 60 smart classrooms equipped with interactive boards pre-loaded with course content to make lessons interesting and effective. Teachers can also upload their own material in the form of videos, ppts or word files etc on the server which gives them a freedom to enrich their course content for better teaching learning experience in the class rooms.
