Overview

Army Public School, Kaluchak, Jammu is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school started as a Kiddies Corner on May 10, 1978 and came under the embrace of the Army Welfare Education Society in 1991. The school was upgraded to a secondary school in 1994 and became affiliated with the CBSE. In 1995, APS, Kaluchak, Jammu was upgraded to a senior secondary school. The school today boasts 2200 students.

Campus

The school campus hosts a well stocked library, well equipped labs for science and computer, spacious classrooms, multipurpose hall, indoor games room and playground with outdoor facilities.

Academics

Affiliated with the CBSE, the school offers education from kindergarten through class XII. The subjects of external assessment in the board examination presently are English, Hindi B, mathematics, science (physics, chemistry and life science), social science (history, geography, economics and political science) and disaster management. At the senior secondary level, the school offers arts, commerce and science streams and the subject of internal assessment are general studies, work experience, physical and health education.
