Overview

Promoted in 1983, Army Public School (APS), Mhow, is a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated coeducational day school situated in Mhow – a cantonment in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh. APS Mhow strives to provide education to children of serving or retired army personnel and alsoo children of civilians.

Its 14.43 acre school campus is well-equipped with a 5000 sqm playground, 2 libraries, 3 computer labs, and 4 general labs, including a Robotics Lab. It also hosts an NCC sub unit with 33 boys and 17 girls as cadets.

APS offers education up to class XII and provides all three streams – Science, Commerce, and Humanities.

Campus

The 14.43 acre school campus is sited in Mhow, a cantonment in Indore district (Madhya Pradesh). The campus hosts a 5000 sqm playground and a junior playground. The campus also hosts two well resourced libraries (one for seniors and one for juniors), 8 labs (including 3 computer labs and 1 English Language Lab), smart classes, music room and Art room. Transportation facility is also available.

The school’s student body is divided into four houses. Additionally, it also has an NCC sub-unit (Air wing).

Academics

The school is affiliated with CBSE and offers education from class I through class XII.

The school follows the CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Examination) process of evaluation from class IX onwards.CCE is an integrated evaluation procedure that involves both academic and non-academic merits of the student.

The classrooms are up-to-date with the latest technology and smart boards. At the senior secondary level, the school offers three streams – Science, Commerce, and Humanities.

General Information

Admission

APS admits students from class I to class X . The registration forms are available at the school office during working days from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM only during February and March.

The minimum age for admission in class I is five years. For the proof of age, the following attachments need to be attached to the admission form:

a) In case of Defence Personnel, extract of Part II order, duly attested by their Commanding Officer.

b) In case of Civilians, Birth Certificate obtained from Municipality, Military/Civil Hospitals or Gram Panchayat .

Achievement

The students of APS Mhow were recently crowned the winners of the Inter-APS (Central Command) Basketball and Football Tournaments. It also won the runners up trophy for Inter-APS Badminton Tournament and was declared the winners of Karate tournament.

The students consistently bag the top three positions in various inter-school level drawing and painting competitions, science Olympiads and Exhibitions.

Accommodation

Being a day school, Army Public School, Mhow does not offer accommodation facility.
