Overview

GVN-The Global School, Bhopal is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Managed by the Lok Seva Sadan, the school is headed by Dr. Manohar Sharma, recipient of the Rashtriya Shiksha Samman (2015) and the HRD Ministry’s Best Mentor Award (2014). GVN-The Global School strives to achieve academic excellence and the all-round growth of every student. The school focuses on individual learning and encourages co-scholastic growth in students.

Campus

All classrooms at GVN-The Global School are well-lit, air-conditioned and ICT enabled. The school houses facilities for sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, cricket, lawn tennis, athletics, swimming etc. Music and dance rooms, art studios and indoor games are available too. The school houses a state-of-the-art multipurpose auditorium with a seating capacity of 250. A library with a rich collection of 600 books, references and resource materials is aided with an internet service.

A Language Lab with a focus on English and foreign languages, is open to students between classes III to X. All science labs meet safety standards and are designed to complement classroom teaching for classes VI to XII; instruments and apparatus are frequently updated to aid practical learning. A Computer and a Math lab are also maintained by the school. A mess and a dining hall are available to all students and faculty.

A well-equipped and air conditioned medical room with first aid facilities is accessible during school hours. The school perimeter is guarded round the clock and the premises are under CCTV surveillance during working hours.

Academics

GVN-The Global School offers classes from kindergarten through class XII; a provisional affiliation with the CBSE is held by the school since 2013. The school believes in one-to-one teaching methods and maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:15. Smart boards are used to promote technology integration in education. Several field trips and excursions are arranged for students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real world. Special education services are also provided with the help of a renowned special-educator and counsellor.
