Overview

The School of Management, KIIT University (KSOM), earlier known as Institution of Business Administration and Training (IBAT) was established in 1993 by Achyuta Samanta. KIIT University has grown to be one of the finest technical and management education centres in India offering diploma, undergraduate and post graduate courses in Technology, MCA and MBA.

The MBA programme of KSOM is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The institute has been ranked as the 4th Best B-School in Eastern India and 37th Best B-School in India by Career360 and ranked as an A+ institution by Business India in the year 2010.

The KSOM Placement and Training Cell facilitate employment opportunities to graduating students through campus recruitment in leading companies.

Campus

The institute is sited on a lush green 400 acre campus hosting fully air-conditioned classrooms equipped with audio-visual technologies. The KSOM library features a huge collection of books, journals, CDs, DVDs and digitized titles. The computer lab is equipped with latest technology and internet connectivity.

Master of Business Administration (MBA):

MBA programme provides specialization in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Information Technology Management, Operation Management, Business Environment and General Management.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA):

BBA programme provides specialization in Marketing Management, Accounting & Financial Management, Information Technology, Human Resource Management and Banking & Insurance Management.

Diploma in Management:

KSOM offers Diploma in Management in Retail Management, Banking & Insurance Management.

Phd Programmes

Placements:

KSOM has an impeccable record of achieving good placements every year. All eligible students with acceptable CGPA secure a placement. The average placement over the last couple of years has been 100%. Several global prestigious companies in private and public sectors regularly visit the campus to recruit students. From among comparable B-schools, the institution is one of the best B-schools for placement in India.

Recent placement highlights- 2020: With a placement percentage of 100%, the highest international salary was recorded at INR 17.33 LPA, the highest domestic salary was INR 12.40 LPA while the average salary stood at INR 7.33 LPA.

General Information

Admission

Undergraduate Admission- B.B.A.

Selection Criteria: AIMA-UGAT score and performance in group discussion and/or personal interview.

Eligibility: 10+2 with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Economics/Statistics as a subject from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates must register for admission by filling out the online application form from the official KSOM website (or in the offline mode) along with the submission of required documents and payment of fees.
• Candidates will be required to apply and appear for the AIMA-UGAT entrance. This will be followed by a group discussion and/or personal interview round.
• The final selection of candidates will be based on their AIMA-UGAT score and performance in group discussion and/or personal interview. Shortlisted candidates may proceed with the verification of documents and payment of fees to confirm their admission.

Postgraduate Admission- M.B.A.

Selection Criteria: CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT/KIITEE score and performance in group discussion and/or personal interview.

Eligibility: Graduate in relevant discipline and specialisation from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates must register for admission by filling out the online application form from the official KSOM website (or in the offline mode) along with the submission of required documents and payment of fees.
• Candidates will be required to apply and appear for the computer-based online entrance exam KITEE Management. Candidates with valid CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT will also be accepted, and need not appear for the KITEE. This will be followed by a group discussion and personal interview round.
• The final selection of candidates will be based on their CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT/KIITEE score and performance in group discussion and personal interview. Shortlisted candidates may proceed with the verification of documents and payment of fees to confirm their admission.

Doctoral Admission- Ph.D.

Selection Criteria: UGC-NET/ KIITEE score and performance in personal interview.

Eligibility: Master’s degree in relevant discipline and specialisation from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates must register for admission by filling out the online application form from the official KSOM website (or in the offline mode) along with the submission of required documents and payment of fees.
• Candidates will be required to apply and appear for the university-conducted written test KITEE. Candidates with valid UGC-NET scores will also be accepted, and need not appear for the KITEE. This will be followed by a personal interview round.
• The final selection of candidates will be based on their UGC-NET/KIITEE score and performance personal interview. Shortlisted candidates may proceed with the verification of documents and payment of fees to confirm their admission.

Achievement

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked KIIT SOM 32^nd among Indian management schools in 2020.

KIIT SOM was also ranked 49^th by Business Today in the category “India’s best B-schools 2019”, while it was ranked 11^th in India by Outlook India’s “Top 150 Private MBA Institutions” of 2020.
