DAV Public School, Ghaziabad, was established in 1984 under the aegis of the DAV College Managing Committee. Having started with 60 students and 7 teaching staff, the school today boasts 4600 students and 250 teachers. It is a co-educational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. DAV incorporates pre-primary, primary and secondary education and accepts students from all classes and creeds.
Sited on a 10 acre campus, DAV Public School hosts state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, a library stocked with 5000 volumes of books, a physical education lab equipped with modern fitness equipments and a music room. The school also offers transport facility. Its sports infrastructure includes a tennis court, football ground, hockey ground, kho-kho ground, two basket ball courts and two cricket pitches. It also provides indoor games like carrom, table tennis, chess and badminton. There is a park designed specifically for younger children.
The school is affiliated with CBSE and follows the method of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Students are actively involved in the learning process. The evaluation system attempts to reduce stress while allowing teachers to note learning progress and spot the need for additional coaching or attention in specific areas. The co-scholastic progress of the child is also recognized.

Extracurricular
In DAV Ghaziabad, students participate in various extracurricular activities that promote personality development, fine motor skills and speech and language development. The school promotes activity clubs such as the Literacy Club, Information Technology Club, Cultural Club, Sports Club, Arts Club, Mathematics Club, Social Science Club, Eco-commerce Club and Life Skills Club. There are also a number of activities that each class undertakes to enhance their artistic skills. Students also participate in literary and cultural competitions and programmes.
Students are coached in roller skating, hockey, roller hockey, cricket, basketball, kho-kho, gymnastics, athletics, handball, volleyball, lawn tennis, table tennis, soccer, chess and karate.

The application form and prospectus can be downloaded from the school website or can be obtained from the school reception from September. Admissions are based on a written test and personal interview with the principal. Entrance tests are held in November and February.
The minimum age for admission to pre-nursery is 2.5 years.
