Overview

Sited at Aravali in Faridabad, Modern Vidya Niketan (MVN) was founded in 2000 by Late Shri Gopal Sharma, an eminent visionary and a pioneer in the field of education. The school’s vision is to be recognized as a Centre of Excellence in the field of education by meeting the challenges of the present and the future. MVN truly epitomizes the saying that ‘success is a journey and not a destination.’

Campus

MVN is sited on a 10 acre lush green campus with world class facilities. The campus hosts spacious air-conditioned classrooms, separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology equipped with the latest apparatus, a well equipped computer lab and specially designed language lab. Other facilities include three well stocked resource centers with books, CDs, videos, DVDs, auditorium, transport and cafeteria.

Sports facilities include separate swimming pools for junior and senior classes, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, a lawn tennis court and a football ground for the students.

Academics

MVN’s academic programme can be grouped as:

1. Primary School – Emphasis is laid on personal and social skill development in a friendly, positive and caring environment. The aim of this program is to develop confidence and self esteem in children in the age group of 6 to 11 years.

2. Middle School – This program focuses on group discussion, debate, public speaking, projects, presentations and inter school activities. The programme aims to lay a strong foundation for high school.

3. Senior School – The curriculum in the senior school consolidates and builds on the student’s academic and social growth. The emphasis is on investigation and conceptualization.

Extra-curricular activities:

Besides academics, MVN promotes co-curricular activities such as art and craft, music, dance and drama.
