Sited at Pitampura in New Delhi, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 1997 by Vaish Aggarwal Educational Society (VAES).
The school follows a dynamic new approach to education that proposes to produce individuals who are competent to succeed in the competitive world. The school aims to encourage critical thinking and transform the student from a knowledge gatherer to a thinker.
The school campus spreads over two acres hosting spacious, airy and well maintained classrooms, well equipped science laboratories, computer labs, social science lab, math lab, well stocked library, dance room, music room, auditorium, art and craft room, conference hall, gymnasium and rooms for academic and administrative staff.
The school also houses a playground with facilities for outdoor games such as volley ball, basket ball etc.
The school’s academic department evaluates the curriculum, teaching methodologies and curriculum execution and further plans are undertaken by the AV teaching faculty regularly. The teaching-learning process includes use of Smart Class and other teaching aids. Curriculum execution is based on weekly plan and an evaluation of portions coverage is also done.
At the elementary level, focus is on learning the basics of writing, reading and arithmetic and developing social skills. At the primary level (classes I to V), learning is concept oriented and activity based and is applied to real life situations. At the middle school level (classes VI to VIII), students are encouraged to communicate effectively, recognize their individuality, learn how to appropriately respond to stimuli and understand the concepts of math, social studies and science.
At the senior level (class IX and above), students are encouraged to express their ideas and concepts both in speech and writing, interpret and explain them, associate and apply scholastic and non scholastic learning to all areas, time management, identifying interests and aptitudes and problem solving.

The school usually places notification for admissions in leading newspapers in the first week of December or as per the calendar prescribed by the Directorate of Education. Applicants meeting the admission criteria are short-listed and their names are displayed on the notice board; 25 percent seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Society. Admissions close by the end of March.
Admission to other classes close by the end of July and are subject to vacancies; any further admission is subject to availability of seats and approval by the Directorate of Education and/or CBSE.
