Overview

Promoted in 2003, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) offers a wide range of study programmes which prepare students for careers in Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, PR/Corporate Communication, Event Management, Social Media, News Anchoring, Electronic Cinematography and Video Editing. AIMC is promoted by the Delhi-based Apeejay Education Society which runs over 29 education institutions with an aggregate enrolment of 32,000 students and 2,200 teachers. AIMC’s vision is to produce "creative and innovative young minds capable of leading and managing tomorrow’s world of media and entertainment".

Campus

The AIMC campus is located in Dwarka, New Delhi, near the domestic and international airports. The campus is spread over 2 acres. Besides classrooms, it offers conference and seminar halls, a state-of-the-art auditorium, open air theatre, computer laboratories and a well-stocked library. The institute also boasts a television studio equipped with professional cameras and teleprompters, and high-end radio-studio equipped with recording, editing and dubbing facilities. There are editing units and air-conditioned computer laboratories with 300 computers. AIMC also provides separate hostel facilities for men and women students.

General Information

Admission

The admission prospectus can be obtained from the AIMC or the Apeejay Stya House (14, Commercial Complex, G.K. II, New Delhi) on payment of Rs.800/- in cash or by sending DD for Rs.850/- in favour of “Apeejay Insititute of Mass Communication,” payable at New Delhi. Aspiring candidates should mail the Application Forms duly filled in to the admissions office by the stipulated date to: The Registrar, Apeejay Insititute of Mass Communication , Apeejay Campus, Sector-8, Dwarka Institutional Area, New Delhi-110 077 The application form can be downloaded from the college website.

Achievement

Placements: More than 100 reputed media companies have hired AIMC students. They include Aaj Tak, Balaji Films, India Today, CNN-IBN, NDTV, among others.

Accommodation

AIMC also provides separate hostel facilities for men and women students.
