Overview

Promoted in 2008, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) is a state private, non-profit, co-educational, Catholic research university based in Guwahati. ADBU was founded by the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) and is managed by the Don Bosco Society, Azara, Guwahati. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), India. The university is also approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), India and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. The university’s vision is to mould young persons into intellectually competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired citizens at the service of India and the world of today and tomorrow, by imparting holistic and personalised education.
