Bal Bharati Public School (BBPS), Navi Mumbai,is a co-educational, English medium school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school began operations in 2000 and is sited on a campus of 2.5 acres in Sector 4, Kharghar. The school is run by The Child Education Society, New Delhi. The school’s 2.5 acre campus in Khargar, Navi Mumbai offers modern infrastructure including Educomp ‘Smart Classrooms’. Each smart classroom features display monitors (Plasma TV) and a PC along with amplified sound system and a UPS. Well-equipped computer labs are in place for the junior and senior students. The school also has an AV room with an LCD projector and a selection of audio and video cassettes are used as teaching aids.
There is a spacious, well-equipped general science laboratory for the juniors and separate physics, chemistry and biology labs for senior classes.
The ‘Knowledge Centre’ on the school campus has a main server which connects all smart classrooms. The centre is equipped with PCs for teachers to use and view professionally designed teaching capsules.
The school has a computerized library with a reading room. It is stocked with a variety of academic and non-academic books, and subscribes to a number of magazines and newspapers.
The school offers infrastructure for outdoor as well as indoor games. Facilities include a swimming pool, skating rink, hockey field, basketball court and children’s park. Coaching for cricket, football, and karate is provided.
BBPS, Navi Mumbai is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and prepares it students for its class X and XII board examinations. Teachers use the internet, multimedia and audio-visual aids extensively.
