A 76-year-old retired teacher in Bengaluru died after a dozen stray dogs attacked her on Wednesday while she was on her morning walk.
The Bengaluru police said that the deceased was Rajdulari Sinha. She is the mother-in-law of an airman. The police have registered a case of unnatural death at the Gangammana Gudi Police Station.
The horrifying incident took place in 7th Residential Camp, Air Force Station East, near Jalahalli when a pack of 10 to 12 stray dogs pounced on her around 6.30 am while she was on her morning walk according to eyewitness accounts. Sinha who sustained multiple injuries was rushed to the hospital immediately and died on the way.
Harikrishnan, a witness to the incident, posted on X, “It is a tragic scene in the morning itself. Atleast a dozen stray dogs attack a lady. I shouted, and my family joined me, until a gentleman came and the dogs attacked. Jalahalli Airforce playground, Vidyaranyapura. I am guilty that I couldn’t help her because of this wall. @IAF_MCC @RajnathSingh_in” (sic).
