Birla High School for Boys, Kolkata is a boys day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Established in 1941 by Late Sri Lakshmi Niwas Birla, the school is an initiative of the Vidya Mandir Society and is sited at Moira Street, Kolkata. Kolkata. The school offers classes from Kindergarten through class XII and the medium of instruction is English.

Campus

Academics

Birla High School for Boys concentrates on imparting learning on a global perspective. Affiliated with CBSE, it offers schooling from KG to class XII.

For classes KG to V, the curriculum comprises activity based learning techniques with subjects such as maths, science and computers.

For the senior section (classes VI to XII), subjects offered include English, Hindi/Bengali, Elem. Bengali/Sanskrit/Hindi/French/German, mathematics, science (physics, chemistry and biology), history and geography, arts/craft/music, information technology, physical education, value education and general knowledge for classes VI to VIII.

The school offers the science, humanities and commerce streams at the higher secondary level.

Age Criteria: the child should be 2.5 to 3.5 years of age for admission to nursery.
