Birla International School, Ajmer is an English medium co-educational school which aims to provide world class education to the students and offers a choice between international and Indian curriculum. Birla International School is a fully residential school promoted and managed by the Birla Education Trust (BET), Pilani.
The motto of the school is ‘Mind on Wings’ which focuses on ensuring that students receive an overall balanced education in all spheres to channelise their multiple talents in the right direction.
The school building is sited on an estate sprawling over 48 acres. The aesthetically designed buildings are inspired from the traditional Rajasthan style of architecture. Classrooms and central dining hall are spacious and airy. The school houses a well stocked library, an aesthetically designed hobby centre, a wellness centre, science laboratories, computer laboratories, language laboratories and resource centre.
The dormitories are all air conditioned and each floor has four bedrooms with attached toilets.
Each hall houses a cafeteria and a quadrangle. The school campus hosts three play fields for children to participate in outdoor activities.

The school follows the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum. It offers education from class III to class X. The classes are grouped into elementary, middle, secondary and senior secondary levels:
Elementary: It includes classes III to V, focusing on Cambridge International Primary Programme comprising of subjects like maths, English and science.
Middle: It includes classes V to VII and aims at developing a child’s knowledge and skills in mathematics, English and science, thus preparing them for the secondary level of the CBSE/IGCSE.
Secondary School: Students of class IX and X can choose between CBSE and Cambridge IGSCE curriculum thus preparing them for CIE’s A/AS examinations or the CBSE board examinations.
The school also focuses on organizing different types of events based on skit, drama, elocution, decoration, essay and poster making, helping children to cultivate the feeling of team spirit. Besides these, the school also arranges various trips and excursions on a regular basis helping children to inculcate knowledge and appreciation of the rich culture and heritage of our country.
After hour, classes are held to help children rejuvenate and develop skills of their choice. The school offers a wide variety of classes such as music, dance, art and craft, clay modelling, wood and metal craft, theatre, computer, aerobics, debating, science club, indoor game hobbies and library activities. Birla International School, Ajmer offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Both hostel buildings are fully air conditioned and equipped with room heaters for use in winters. The hostels have been designed to provide comfort, privacy and safety to the students. Each two-storied hostel houses 68 students on each floor, cared for by the housemaster, housemother and hostel attendants. The house master maintains medical, academic and personal progress records of the wards in his care and also provides pastoral care to the students.
