A day before the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) warned candidates about deceptive social media groups claiming to offer the exam questions in exchange for money.
In a notice, the Board clarified that the “question paper for tomorrow’s FMGE is still under preparation.”
The FMGE, scheduled for Saturday, will take place at 71 test centers in approximately 50 cities. This screening test is essential for medical graduates to become eligible to practice medicine in the country.
“Scammers on social media are claiming to provide FMGE questions for the upcoming FMGE June-2024 in exchange for significant sums of money,” the notice stated.
The Board also mentioned that a police complaint has been filed in Kerala against fraudsters attempting to deceive FMGE candidates.
“Please be informed that the question paper for tomorrow’s FMGE is still under preparation,” reiterated the Board.
The notice further cautioned FMGE June-2024 applicants against being misled by these unscrupulous individuals, who falsely claim to have access to the exam questions through “the authority.”
The Board warned that any candidate found involved in such activities, directly or indirectly, would face appropriate action by NBEMS.
