Spanning six major cities of the UK, BPP University is dedicated to training students for business and the professions. Highly reputed for its hands-on industry-driven programmes, BPPU was voted the UK™s Best Higher Education Provider in 2013 by Education Investor magazine, with 96 percent of its graduates in employment or further study within six months. This careers-focused private university was promoted by the London-based BPP Professional Education Group Plc in 1976 as a premium training institution for accountancy qualifications, and listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1987. In 1992, it founded its own law school which quickly developed into one of the country’s leading postgrad law schools. In acknowledgement of its professional education expertise, BPP was conferred university status by the UK government™s department for business, innovation and skills in 2010. Currently BPP University comprises four schools ” business, law, health and School of Foundation and English Language Studies. According to a company spokesperson, the BPP Professional Education Group, including the university, has trained two-thirds of all accountants and one-third of all new entrants into the legal profession in England and Wales.

London. With a population of 13 million ” of whom over 350,000 are students ” London boasts some of the world’s best-known monuments, buildings, museums, galleries, sports clubs, restaurants, clubs, shopping centres and theatres. BPP’s six London learning centres ” London city (Square Mile), Holborn, Waterloo, Shepherd’s Bush, King’s Cross and Croydon” are conveniently sited across the city, and offer students enviable opportunity to learn by osmosis. Students have easy access to museums, art galleries, the British Library, as well as the archives of numerous professional organisations.

Moreover, BPP students are ideally located to network with globally respected corporates and employers for internships and job placements. There are also many part-time work opportunities in London for students wishing to supplement their income while studying (international students are permitted to work up to 20 hours a week during term and full-time during vacations).

Campus facilities. BPP University has learning and study centres in six major cities in Britain. Located near hubs of business, finance, law and healthcare institutions, BPP learning centres resemble office environments and workplaces with classrooms fully-equipped with ICT facilities.
In London, BPP has two law schools” in Holborn, close to the Inns of Court, and Waterloo. Moreover, the BPP Business School is situated in London’s commercial centre, near Liverpool Street Station. ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) full-time students are taught in the university’s King’s Cross and Shepherd’s Bush learning centres as well as in Croydon just outside London. The Shepherd™s Bush centre also hosts BPP’s School of Foundation and English Language Studies.

Up north in Leeds, BPP has a learning centre for undergraduate programmes and ACCA and professional qualifications. In Manchester, BPP’s learning centre is housed in a newly renovated historic building within five minutes™ walk from Oxford Road train station and the city’s main shopping areas. It offers law and business management programmes. Other BPP learning centres are sited in Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool and Abingdon.

All BPP learning centres offer IT-enabled classrooms, lecture theatres, a library, wi-fi access, student lounge and snack vending machines. The BPP Students’ Association runs and manages several clubs and societies offering a range of sports, cultural, political, charitable, and other activities.

Admission. All admission applications for BPP University’s undergraduate programmes must be made through the UK’s centralised Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). The UCAS code for BPP is B54. The minimum admission criterion is successful completion of Plus Two/class XII and English language proficiency (IELTS or Pearson Test of English Academic scores). Admission applications need to be made online at www.ucas.com before June 30.

For postgrad programmes admission requirements are a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and English language proficiency. Law School.
