The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced that the CET Kannada language exam for Horanadu and Gadinadu candidates (those who have studied outside Karnataka), which was originally scheduled for April 18, will now be conducted on April 15.
“Since April 18 falls on Good Friday, there were requests to change the exam date. In response, the exam date has been changed as per the government’s directive,” stated H Prasanna, Executive Director of the Authority, in a press note.
The Kannada Language Test is for students who are seeking admission into professional courses under the 85% reservation for Karnataka students. This language test evaluates the students’ proficiency in Kannada and is set at a level equivalent to class 4.
The Kannada language exam will only be held at Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Vijayapura, and Belagavi centers. The exam will take place from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on that day, he explained.
The other CET-25 exams will be held as scheduled on April 16 and 17. Admission tickets will soon be available for download, he clarified. Candidates are also instructed to check the Authority’s website for the detailed schedule.
