Promoted in the year 1991, Chaman Vatika Gurukul, Ambala is an English medium girls boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Managed by the Chaman Vatika Educational Society, the school offers classes from primary section (class V) through senior secondary sections (class XII).
The 27.5 acres school campus facilitates an ideal learning environment for the students, with spacious and well-ventilated classrooms equipped with the latest teaching aids, separate laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and maths and two well equipped computer labs with wi-fi connection for 32 computers in each lab.

Primary: Grade V (Age Group 10 Years)
At primary stage English, mathematics, Hindi, social studies and science are taught as main subjects. drawing, computer-science, G.K and EVA are also introduced at this stage. Special emphasis is laid upon cultural and co-curricular activities for the all round development of a child.
Middle: Grade VI to VIII (Age 11 to 14 Years)
In addition to the subjects offered at the primary level they study one additional language, which can be Sanskrit, Punjabi, French, or German language. To cater to the increasing number of foreign students, the school offers French and German as third language at this stage. Life skills, work education and visual and performing Arts are an integral part of the co-scholastic areas at this stage. It is mandatory for each student to become a member of clubs/ hobbies, which help to develop literary and creative skills, scientific skills, communication and leadership skills amongst students.
Secondary: Grade IX to X (Age 14 to 16 Years)
At the Secondary Stage the students prepare themselves for their first school evaluation board examination which is based on continuous and comprehensive evaluation of their scholastic achievement called formative assessments & Summative assessments in the subjects of English, second language, social science, mathematics and science.
The students have an options of French or Hindi as second language. English is the medium of instruction for all the subject. The students may opt for computers or Punjabi as an additional subject.
Co-scholastic abilities are developed with special emphasis on cultural, co-curricular and stage activities. The school prepares the students for the Secondary School Certificate Examination, which is conducted by the C.B.S.E. New Delhi on the successful completion of 10 years of schooling
Senior Secondary: Grade XI to XII (Age 16 to 18 Years)
There after the students are prepared for All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination conducted & evaluated by The Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Students have a choice to opt Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams.

Admission to each class is based on the age of the students as on 31st March of the year of admission. The minimum age of the applicant to get admission in class-V is 10 years on 31st March. Subsequently, the student should meet the minimum age limit for each class.
All admissions till classes VIII would be provisional. Admissions to class IX onwards would be governed by CBSE rules and regulations.
The information provided at the time of the admission in Registration Form and other supporting documents including name, DOB, Aadhar card etc., shall hold true till the student leaves the school.
The children who have registered will have to appear for an admission test, which may be written or oral as laid down by the School for different levels. The test will be held for English, Hindi, Mathematics and/or any other subject which may be considered necessary.

The school offers hostel facilities for girls.
The well-ventilated dormitories of the fully air conditioned girls’ hostel are spacious, carpeted and fully furnished and have been created in a way so as to make the boarders’ life comfortable. Each student is provided with an individual box-type bed and a wardrobe. Every dorm comes with well sanitised washroom which is meticulously maintained and has running hot and cold water.
A well – maintained, modernised laundry system is set in gurukul for clean & hygienic washing of clothes for the girls.
The hostel is fly and mosquito proof, has marble flooring and a hygienic environment. Recreation of students is taken care of through a well-equipped common room which has TV, LCD, comics, periodicals etc.
The Dorm Educators are available in hostels and special Dorm Mother is assigned to each dorm to look after the students wherein their lives are regulated from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
