Champs Academy, Chennai was started by Pearl Raj in March 2012 with a mission to create an institution where children can learn in a dynamic challenging environment, which fosters in them strong moral values and a passion for learning.
The school believes that learning is a lifelong process and that every child is unique, special and can be guided at his or her own pace in a loving and accepting environment. It offers a stimulating blend of academic, artistic and practical activities in a caring environment, where every child gets to learn without being made to feel that he or she is being taught.
Champs Academy hosts well ventilated and vibrant classrooms, a well resourced library, music room, indoor and outdoor play area with play equipments such as slides, swings, see-saw and jungle gym.
The preschool follows the Montessori Method of imparting learning and its classrooms have different centres of learning with hands-on materials and meaningful activities available for children to choose and come up with ideas, experiment and take responsibility for their work. Materials are placed neatly in an uncluttered manner on low shelves, in containers for children to see easily, remove, replace and to work independently. There are also distinct interest centres for blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, art, library, sand and water, music and movement, cooking, reading/writing, listening and different play spaces outdoors for children to make choices and decisions.

Champs Academy follows an inclusive education programme for students with special needs. The programme is a blend of academic excellence paired with participating in main stream activities along with dance, yoga, brain gym and DLS and caters to children’s development in academic performance along with behaviour modification and social interaction.
