Chandigarh University Lucknow has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and will begin offering 43 AI-augmented undergraduate and postgraduate programs from the 2025-26 academic session.
The university will offer 30 undergraduate (UG) and 13 postgraduate (PG) courses across six disciplines: Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, Health & Life Sciences, Humanities, and Legal Studies. The engineering programs include B.Tech in AI & Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, and industry-collaborated Civil Engineering programs with Larsen & Toubro (L&T). The business programs offer specializations in FinTech, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, and more. Other fields include Law, Journalism, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Data Science.
Admissions will be conducted through the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2025), providing students with the opportunity to secure scholarships worth ₹40 crore, including a ₹3 crore CV Raman Scholarship for research scholars.
Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu emphasized the university’s strategic location in India’s first AI City in Lucknow, supporting PM Modi’s vision to establish India as a global leader in AI-driven education and workforce development.
Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay had previously inaugurated the university’s web portal and prospectus for the 2025-26 session.
