On February 3, 2025, the Child Education Society (CES) hosted the third edition of its flagship event, Vidya Utsav, celebrating excellence and innovation across its 26 Bal Bharati Public Schools (BBPS) nationwide. The event emphasized future-ready education, technology integration, and sustainable learning.
The first session, themed “Future-Focused Learning to Thrive in a Digital Age,” highlighted CES’s strides in AI-driven pedagogy. Keynote speaker Rajiv Makhni, renowned gadget expert, stressed the importance of AI literacy, stating, “AI should not be policed but leveraged for learning.” A skit on ‘Digital Content Practice at CES’ showcased the BBPS Connect AI platform, making education engaging and inclusive.
A panel discussion, moderated by Sharad Arora, emphasized CES’s bold yet balanced approach to technology. He envisioned BBPSs as “Sigma Schools”, where educators evolve into mentors guiding students beyond traditional knowledge.
The afternoon session, themed “Grounded in Values, Growing with Technology – The Future of Innovative and Sustainable Education,” featured Sonam Wangchuk, education reformist and SECMOL founder. Advocating for the “3Hs” approach—skilled Hands, bright Heads, and kind Hearts, he highlighted the need for compassion-driven, problem-solving education.
CES President Nikhil Channa reinforced the balance between values and innovation, stating, “Our mission is to ensure learning is accessible, adaptable, and aligned with a rapidly changing world.” The event concluded with a cultural showcase, featuring Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and a choir performance, followed by the CES brand film chronicling 80 years of excellence.
Distinguished BBPS alumni were honored with the Bal Bharati Icon & Achievers Alumni Awards for their contributions to society.
Vidya Utsav 2025 reaffirmed CES’s commitment to pioneering futuristic education, blending tradition with innovation to empower the next generation of global leaders.
