Chocolate banana quesdilla

(4 servings)

Ingredients

  • 4 whole wheat tortillas
  • 6 tbsp chocolate almond butter or chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 4 small bananas

For the tortilla

  • 2 cups maida
  • 2 cups atta
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 ½ cups water

Preparation guide

For the tortilla

  • Whisk the flours, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Mix in the oil with your fingers until the flour resembles cornmeal. Add the water and mix until the dough comes together; place on a lightly floured surface and knead a few minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide the dough into 24 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  • Roll them out like rotis and cook on a tawa.

Assembling the quesadilla

  • Spread the chocolate almond butter over half of the tortilla. Top the almond butter with sliced bananas and fold the tortilla in half.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan and cook the quesadilla on each side for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice in half.
